SARSTEDT, a leading manufacturer and distributor of blood collection and medical devices, laboratory consumables and instrumentation, seeks an Account Manager - Veterinary.

Summary

Responsible for developing both current and new customer relationships in order to expand market share of SARSTEDT, Inc's. product lines to the veterinary and agricultural market segments, primarily through an established network of veterinary distribution partners.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned as apparent or required by management.

  • Responsible for developing and cultivating relationships with both inside and outside Sales Representatives working for the Company's veterinary distribution partners.
  • Promote and market SARSTEDT, Inc.'s product line by attending and participating in regional and national trade shows related to the veterinary or agricultural markets.
  • Implement Sales and Marketing initiatives in order to increase market share as directed by the US National Sales Director.
  • Compile lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from business directories, industry ads, trade shows, Internet Web sites, and other sources.
  • Organize and attend both regional and national sales meetings conducted by distribution partners with the purpose of educating and providing tools to Sales Representatives.
  • Travel throughout assigned territory with distribution partners.
  • Coordinate, plan, direct, and manage all aspects of assigned accounts, including development of business plans, price proposals, and analysis of individual customer sales.
  • Prepare reports of business transactions and keep expense accounts.
  • Responsible for achieving division sales performance goals and the overall Company's sales goals as determined by management.
  • Support SARSTEDT's account managers with their assigned veterinary customers.
Requirements/Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Biology or related Science field from a four-year college or university; and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience as a veterinary technician or similar highly preferred
  • Veterinary Technician Certificate preferred
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • This position requires a minimum of 50% national travel and the ability to operate a motor vehicle.
Work environment

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently exposed to airborne particles in a laboratory setting. The employee may be exposed to Bloodborne Pathogens and will require training on preventative measures. The employee must also be able to obtain immunization records and maintain compliancy with all vendor requirements.
