Job Summary:

The Accounting Manager will oversee the financial operations of our manufacturing division, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. This role requires strong expertise in manufacturing accounting and proficiency in Japanese to support our international operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting.
• Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end close processes.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
• Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
• Coordinate and support external audits and tax filings.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business objectives and improve financial performance.
• Communicate effectively with Japanese-speaking stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and team members.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to the accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CMA certification preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in Japanese (both written and spoken) is required.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
