Ultimate is assisting a client with their Accounting specialist position in Fresno. We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to their finance team. Pay: $23-28/hr

Key Responsibilities:

• Process accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) transactions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Perform monthly bank and account reconciliations.
• Assist in preparing financial statements and reports for management.
• Handle general ledger entries and maintain financial records.
• Process payroll and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Maintain records of financial transactions and ensure adherence to company policies.
• Resolve discrepancies and ensure accurate documentation of financial activities.
• Support audits and ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred).
• years of experience in an accounting or finance role.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, JD Edwards, SAP, NetSuite).
• Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, v-lookups, and formulas).
• Solid understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with payroll processing and tax filings.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and large-volume invoice processing.
• Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus.
