Position Overview

Performs a wide variety of clerical responsibilities within accounts receivable. This is an in-office position with potential one day from home after training period (3-6 months).

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)

The duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Cash Application Specialist will download, post, and reconcile electronic remittance files and work with branch personnel to resolve problems.
  • Position is also responsible for downloading and processing daily bank reporting, back up ACH outbound processing, reconciling cash transactions.
  • Candidate must be extremely organized with attention to detail, possess 10-key skills, and be highly customer service oriented.
  • Role will be primarily focused on accuracy and timeliness of payment posting, resolving and reconciling variances in Customer trade receivables, running daily bank reports, and reconciling/applying bank deposits, ACH wires, cash deposits, and credit card batches.
  • Additional responsibilities include processing and reconciling postings of cash deposits, credit card, and other Accounts Receivable application spreadsheets from lockbox postings, as well as customer refunds on credit balances and credit memos.
  • Work with sales, customers, and operations to resolve customer invoice issues and escalate as needed.
  • Coordinate the sales support activity between sales, billing, and scale clerks.
  • Provides customer with appropriate product and project documentation.
  • Work with field operations team to improve customer service.
  • Special projects as assigned.
  • Strict adherence to Sarbanes-Oxley and GAAP rules.
  • Prepare for and respond to internal and external audit requests.
  • Take inbound calls for the company for Accounts Receivable
  • Assist Credit/Collections Manager with calls, customer requests
  • Assist in lien process as necessary
  • Backup and support all other office departments as needed.
  • Viewpoint Experience is a plus

Other Requirements:
  • Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors, and the general public at all times.
  • Must be willing to work nights and weekends when necessary.
  • Report to the assigned job site ready to begin work at the designated start time.
  • Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Manual of Safety Practices and Procedures.
  • Strict adherence to Hinkle/Mountain company policies and procedures as outlined in the Company Book of Policies.
  • Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required.
  • Timely and regular attendance is an expectation of performance for all Hinkle/Mountain Company employees. Employees will be held accountable for adhering to their workplace schedule. This is an in office position
  • Knowledge with Windows, Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Overtime may be required during peak season and at month end

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Education and Experience

High school diploma with two to five years related experience and/or training. Accounting degree is a plus
