Accounts Receivable Specialist - Disputes

We have a new temporary project opportunity for an AR Specialist available for a minimum twelve-month assignment, focusing primarily on Dispute and Collection tasks, while also supporting other Accounts Receivable responsibilities. You'll be joining a team dedicated to delivering high-quality AR cash collections and dispute management, fostering strong relationships customers, internal business partners, and finance leadership. This role involves collaborating across departments to achieve objectives, ensuring timely cash collection and resolution of disputes.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with various teams to resolve deductions and disputes, aiming to collect 10-15M in outstanding balances.
• Monitor and report on the progress of dispute resolutions according to internal guidelines and metrics.
• Manage an accounts receivable portfolio of 5-10M, focusing on collecting past due invoices through communication channels like phone, email, and customer portals as necessary to support shared services.
• Contact customers with overdue balances to secure payment commitments.
• Identify and eliminate internal barriers that cause payment delays and reduce overdue balances.
• Assist the cash application team in rectifying discrepancies in payment application, ensuring adjustments are made accurately and promptly (including invalid deductions or partial payments).
• Escalate significant collection and dispute challenges to Senior Collection Specialists or Team Leads for specialized attention.
• Contribute to process enhancements by identifying inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and suggesting improvements that enhance operational effectiveness.

Qualifications:

• Degree in Accounting/Finance preferred
• Ability to be on-site Tuesdays & one other day is required
• Manufacturing or similar industry experience preferred
• 3+ years of related experience
