Pay Grade/Pay Range: Minimum: $18.32 - Midpoint: $21.97 (Hourly N4)

Department/Organization: 223101 - Dean's Office-Nursing

Normal Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am to 4:45pm; some nights and weekends.

Job Summary: The Administrative Assistant II provides administrative support for the operations of unit. Performs moderately complex and well documented administrative tasks. Acts as office liaison/receptionist. Receives and routes phone calls, emails, and/or guests. Maintains files and enters data. Drafts and sends communications on supervisor/departmental staff behalf. Reconciles P-Card/Concur for other staff/faculty against departmental budget. Performs some simple budget monitoring/entry. Operates standard office equipment such as personal computers, copiers, fax machines, etc.

Additional Department Summary: Assists the Office of Global Initiatives and Community Partnerships in helping the Capstone College of Nursing achieve its mission, vision, and goals. Communicates clearly and professionally with students, faculty, peers, and potential students. Manages correspondence adhering to UA guidelines from the Office of Global Initiatives and Community Partnerships to students, faculty, staff, and community partners. Supports the Associate Dean with managing all education within and abroad programs. Organizes and manages community events and partnerships. Oversees strategic communication and external relations from the office. Assists in development of various reports. Supports the Associate Dean of Global Initiatives and Community Partnerships by scheduling all appointments, meetings, conferences, and determining priorities and changes.

Required Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED and two (2) years of administrative experience; OR associate's degree or higher.

Skills and Knowledge: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. Ability to handle multiple tasks effectively. Ability to problem-solve. Ability to critically think. Ability to maintain positive relationships with students, faculty, staff and administration.

Preferred Qualifications: Substantial planning and management experience.
