Location: 76 Highway Route 17 (South), Newark, NJ, 07644, United States
Compensation: $22.72 + $4.57 H&W Pay/HR
Teya Enterprises is looking for a General Clerk III to provide on-site administrative support to the Newark Army Recruiting Company. This role is classified as Full-time, but is subject to a strict schedule of 30 hours per week, 8:30am - 3:30pm, Monday-Friday.
This is an opportunity to work with your local Army Representatives in support of their recruitment efforts.

This position includes a Health & Welfare (H&W) Fringe amount, limited to 30 hours per week, offsets benefit costs, with any remaining balance deducted from pay.
The position also includes paid holidays (following the federal schedule), vacation, and sick time per the Service Contract Act and Wage Determinations. Details will be discussed during interviews.
Essential Functions and Requirements:
- Must be able to work on-site during the assigned hours.
- This is a non-personal services contract which means you are restricted to performing only those duties listing in the performance work statement of the government contract.
- Perform administrative duties, including filing, answering phones, customer service, processing paperwork, data entry, procurement of supplies, and other duties as assigned by the contract.
- Develop a working knowledge of agency software, contracting policies, and procedures.
- Prepare, edit, and update materials and processes as required.
- Review a wide variety of invoices, vouchers, and other miscellaneous payment requests.
- Verify statistical reports for accuracy and completeness; compile information; and handle and adjust complaints.
- Assist in a variety of administrative matters.
- Read, write, and speak English, demonstrating knowledge of Army protocol and office etiquette.
- Schedule meetings, maintain calendars, conference calls, web-based meetings, and resolve conflicts as necessary.
- Notify appropriate unit or organizational representatives of technology issues.
- Receive visitors, telephone calls, and emails, and provide assistance as needed.
- Receive incoming mail daily, sort, and take appropriate action.
- Ensure sufficient postal supplies for recruiting companies and stations.
- Establish and maintain reports and files, both paper and electronic, for current and historical data.
- Maintain suspense files, conduct follow-ups prior to suspense dates, and request interim responses as necessary.
- Access the Defense Travel System (DTS) to prepare various order types and review travel requests.
- Collect, maintain, and report unit or organizational data as required.
- Access the Medical Protection System (MEDPROS) to review and update unit member records.
- Electronically build and enter Bulk Leads into the Leads Management System as needed.
- Consolidate supply requests from subordinate units and submit them to the battalion for resupply.
- Maintain a neat and orderly workplace.
- Background check required.
Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED required. Additional college or technical school education is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to effectively use MS suite including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrate proficiency with computer-automated software and web-based software usage.
- Must be able to work independently and as a team member.
Physical Demands: This is an on-site position, working at a government office location. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move more than 25 pounds. Employees will sit for several hours each day but will also need mobility and the ability to stand, type, and walk for periods of time. The employee is occasionally required to stand and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
