The Primary Care Network is looking for an Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to provide primary care to patients of all ages at a busy family practice in Tri-County. Essential Functions
  • Perform appropriate history and physical for complex, acute, critical, and chronically ill patients.
  • Diagnose disease or study medical conditions using techniques such as gross pathology, histology, cytology, cytopathology, clinical chemistry, immunology, flow cytometry, and molecular biology.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic and therapeutic tests.
  • Prescribe appropriate pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatment modalities.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of interventions.
  • Maintain accurate medical records.
  • Collaborate with other providers and members of the health care team in delivery of care and make appropriate referrals when needed.
  • Educate patients and families about medical conditions and treatment plans.
  • Facilitate staff, patient, and family decision making using evidence-based practice.
  • Participate in education of nurse practitioner or physician assistant students and medical students.
  • Perform related duties based on departmental need.
Minimum Requirements

Nurse Practitioner:

Required EducationA master's degree in nursing and graduation from an ANA approved Nurse Practitioner Program.Required ExperienceAt least three (3) years nursing experience.Required Trainings/CertificationsCurrent/valid RN license to practice in the state of Ohio with prescriptive authority prior to start.

Physician Assistant:

Required EducationGraduation from a Physician Assistant program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA) or its predecessor agencies.Required ExperienceA minimum of one year PA experience.Required Trainings/Certifications
  • Certification as a Physician Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
  • Current/valid PA license to practice in the state of Ohio.
