Description of Work:

The Economics Department is seeking a tenure-track Assistant Professor in microeconomics beginning August 2025. The successful candidate is expected to develop an outstanding research program, provide excellent teaching, and supervise graduate student research.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in Economics at the beginning of the appointment.
  • Interest and ability to teach Ph.D.-level microeconomic theory, including choice under uncertainty, game theory, policy instruments, and mechanism design.
  • Strong background in microeconomic research with interests that include topics complementary to the department's strengths in the fields of labor economics, public economics, or international trade.
Preferred Qualifications:

  • Evidence of research excellence in one or more of the following applied microeconomics fields: labor, public, international economics, or industrial organization.
  • Evidence of teaching experience in microeconomics or game theory.
