Position Purpose:In collaboration with the Assistant Dean & Director of Residential Education, the Associate Director of Residential Education oversees key aspects of Dartmouth's Residential Education program to develop and administer positive and engaging communities and initiatives that support successful House Communities, enhance student belonging, foster integrative learning, offer opportunities for student growth and development, and nurture students to be responsible members of the Dartmouth community. Associate Directors provide particular oversight and support of the undergraduate and graduate student recruitment/selection and training programs, and supervise staff who live on campus and execute residential education and House Community programming. May provide oversight and support of living-learning programs and academic initiatives.
This position provides the option of living on campus as units are available. Living on campus requires the Associate Director to participate in an on-call rotation.
