Apply now for the position of Automation Engineer , where you will be responsible for the successful design, implementation validation and support of custom automated systems reporting to the Director of Engineering. This role will be part of a team of engineers that will support manufacturing and drive functional excellence across the Walpole Site.
Your role:
- Identifying and implementing manufacturing processes and or equipment productivity improvements related to controls and automation.
- Developing and executing manufacturing processes, equipment and testing validation strategies, and documenting as required (IQ,PQ).
- Monitoring the manufacturing SQL database s and equipment performance, supporting patches, tests, and evaluations, and documenting as required.
- Preparing manufacturing equipment User Requirement Specifications (URS).
- Collaborating cross-functionally and working on multiple projects simultaneously.
Your expertise:
- Strong PC skills and familiarity with common PLC and .NET framework applications with experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to integrate and execute change control for process and hardware solutions.
- Working with Siemens Opscenter Manufacturing Execution System (MES).
- Excellent knowledge of database design, documentation, and SQL coding.
- Strong broad-based automation and electro-mechanical design experience along with industrial controls system knowledge is required.
- An understanding of industrial networking and Virtual Machines within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong communication, presentation, and documentation skills in a team environment.
- Experience working in an FDA, ISO9000, GMP or another regulated environment is required. Experience in Medical Device manufacturing is desired.
Preferred skills:
- Experience with TrakSys software designed to monitor real time data.
