Job Details:
SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for learning our computer system, product codes and meeting with other departments, such as scheduling, pricing, customer service, transportation, etc. Other duties include interacting with other departments to ensure correct product shipments, order processing and customer service issues. Throughout the 10 to 12-week period you will get an overall view of the Sales position of selling beef and/or pork, gain the understanding of the plant process. You will also complete a project in relation to your work to showcase what you have learned.

REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Pursuing a 4-year degree, preferably in Agriculture or Business. Must have completed Sophomore year and with at least one year of college remaining.
Experience: Prior Fresh Meats (Beef or Pork) background a plus. Prior Sales experience a plus.
Computer Skills: Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with leadership and persuasive selling abilities, and a strong work ethic.
Special Skills: Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment; self-starter.
This program is 10 weeks minimum, up to 12 if the candidate chooses - summer internship is located in Springdale, AR focusing on Beef & Pork. Candidates are expected to work 40 hours/week.
Please Note: This role is a summer only internship that requires the selected candidate to work as many as 40 hours per week during the summer. This role also requires the selected candidate to work in office at Tyson Foods' Springdale, AR World Headquarters.
