Primary Responsibilities:What:o Assist graduate students with research projects in the field and/or labo Major focuses are Big Game, Conservation Biology, Game Birds, and Habitato Tasks will depend on the specific project; however, you could potentially do any of the following (this not an exhaustive list):o Deploy/monitor field equipment (i.e., nets, traps, fence, meters, cameras, recording devices, arrays, etc…) associated with researcho Handle captured wildlifeo Conduct habitat management activities related to researcho Conduct various wildlife, vegetative, soil, and hydrological surveyso Work in the Department greenhouseo Collect, compile, organize, inventory, and/or analyze various collections, photos, and datao Keep track of your time worked and report it monthlyo Take care of equipment and vehicles as you use themo Complete other duties as assignedWhen:o 2023-24 SRSU Academic Calendar (basically, Sept. 1 - May 31)Where:o SRSU campus and field-research locationso NOTE: Field-research locations can present remote and harsh environmental conditions, including potentially dangerous situations involving plants, wildlife, surveys, and thermoregulation.

The Annual Security & Fire Safety Report is available online at https://srinfo.sulross.edu/udps/The report contains information regarding campus safety and security including topics such as: campus law enforcement authority; crime reporting policies; campus alerts (Timely Warnings and Emergency Notifications); fire safety policies and procedures; programs to prevent dating violence, domestic violence, sexual assault and stalking; the procedures the University will follow when one of these crimes is reported; and other matters of importance related to security on campus. The report also contains information about crime statistics for the three most recent calendar years concerning reported crimes that occurred on campus; in On-Campus Student Housing Facilities; in Non-campus buildings or property owned or controlled by the University or a recognized student organization; and on public property within, or immediately adjacent to and accessible from, the campus. The report also contains fire statistics for any fires occurring in an On-Campus Student Housing Facility during the three most recent calendar years.
