Building Maintenance Technician

Hillyard, Inc. is currently taking applications for Job Title for our Maintenance team in St. Joseph, MO.

Essential Functions And Responsibilities:

• Installs, repairs and maintains light fixtures in both office and warehouse.
• Responsible for repair and painting of offices, and outside of buildings.
• Assists in moving office furniture.
• Coordinates with outside vendors in the repair and maintenance of buildings.
• Assists in small capital improvement projects and works under little supervision with others on larger projects.

Qualifications Include:

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Vocational / Technical Certification Preferred.
• General knowledge of building maintenance.
• General knowledge of construction, including painting and framing.
• Experience in industrial electrical power distribution and control.
• Experience in programmable logic controllers (PLC's) a plus.
• Experience in setting up preventative maintenance and spare parts programs to improve equipment reliability.
• Ability to effectively comprehend and communicate with others regarding maintenance and project issues.
• Willingness to take classes to improve knowledge of HVAC equipment or strengthen skills in all areas of building maintenance.
