Pieper Electric is hiring a Business Development Manager in Wisconsin! This position will conduct Business Development activities for Wisconsin that will support company marketing efforts, identified programs, developing and implementing marketing and sales strategies and actions that will help the Electrical Services Group and overall organization to be as productive, efficient and effective as possible. The accomplishment of said goals, thereby increasing overall company sales, profits, and market share. Conduct business in accordance with PPC and Pieper Electric, Inc.'s, Mission, Vision, and Values.

Responsibilities:

  • Safety/Hazard Recognition & Elimination:
  • Pre-plan and identify the methods to eliminate hazards daily by work task.
  • Execute skill in observing habits and hazards of others and bringing it to their attention.
  • Uphold safety as the most important goal of our company.Support goal of achieving zero accidents, including daily personal activities, i.e., site visits and driving
  • Promote and encourage open communication between field and office regarding all safety concerns, suggestions, improvements, and PPE needed
  • Develop Electric Vehicle Infrastructure quoting opportunities from new/potential customers, as directed by Electrical Service Group Managers
  • Obtain new business from successful quoting opportunities and trusted/quality customer relationships of dead or targeted customers as directed by Electrical Vehicle Service Group Managers
  • Obtain sales from above (#1 & #2) existing/new customers.
  • Create relationships with internal customers (Department Managers), understand their markets, work, and niches. Support their market/sales efforts such that company managers, supervisors, and field operations are focused on meeting the needs of and delivering value to our customers.
  • Work with Marketing to assist in development of promotional material such as brochures, proposals, proposal templates, etc. Ensure all materials meet the needs of the customers and provide a consistent company image. Maintain all material with current information.
  • Assist Department Managers with creating proposals and presentations as needed for identified opportunities. Present said proposals to customers.
  • Support customer research upon request of department and branch managers. Identify and develop survey/market research tools as applicable.
  • Establish contact with utilities and industry associations to better identify and understand existing and new market trends.
  • With a thorough understanding of our Electric Vehicle market segment, develop customer partnerships through utilization of new technologies and innovative services
  • Communicate matters of mutual concern with related staff services such as management, field operations, and estimating
  • Maintain records and files and prepare reports having to do with sales activities. Maintain marketing database and customer/prospect files as directed with a minimum of weekly updates.
  • Work strategically with Department Managers to make field trips and otherwise maintain contacts with customers to assist with selling and closing orders with customers
