Position Title: Business Finance Analyst

Location: Boston, MA or Dallas, TX

The role

As Business Finance Analyst, you will be responsible for the preparation and execution of the annual budget, quarterly reforecasting, long-range planning, and ad-hoc statistical analysis. You will be charged with consolidating statistical information and performing financial analysis and relaying it back to other groups, including Investor Relations and Investments.

What you'll do

• Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic initiatives
• Evaluate the financial impact from new investments
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual statistical reports
• Conduct variance analysis and provide insights into statistical performance
• Assist in forecasting and budgeting processes
• Partner with other departments to provide statistical insights and support decision-making
• Collaborate with senior management to develop financial strategies and initiatives
• Perform ad hoc statistical analysis to support key business decisions

What you'll need

• A bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Real Estate or a similar field
• 2 to 5 years of experience in a financial analyst role or similar professional experience
• Prior experience working with and/or maintaining financial models
• A strong understanding of and ability to create financial reports and analyses
• A true entrepreneurial spirit is valuable in this role as you'll be expected to provide your ideas, be ready in driving the function, and have a hand in creating processes and procedures
• The ability to think strategically, to work with data and numbers, and to provide thoughtful, detailed analysis
• A high degree of comfort with technology, including the ability to learn new software and systems quickly and to work through technical issues (e.g. Hyperion Essbase)
• Very strong skills in MS Excel (formulas, VLOOKUP, pivot tables, etc.) and PowerPoint
