About the Department
The IT department is structured to provide innovative and scalable solutions that address the dynamic and evolving business needs of the organization. It focuses on application development and management, data warehousing and database administration, and business intelligence and analysis.

Job Summary
The business systems analyst will provide application support and administration for applications in BSDIS serving the division.

Responsibilities

  • Function as the product manager for theCTMSapplication.
  • Understand and provide recommendations for application set up to align with organizational goals.
  • Collaborate with end users, technical support, key stakeholders and organizational leadership.
  • Work with internal resources or Advarra, where appropriate, to ensureCTMSissues are resolved in a timely manner.
  • Provide support to application end users.
  • Coordinate the evaluation of upgrades on the test environment and provide feedback to Advarra product support regarding the new functionality.
  • Articulate to functional area experts how the upgrades toCTMSmay affect current policies and procedures.
  • Serve as the organizational representative to Advarra and the Onsemble Community.
  • Implement metrics to trackCTMSadoption and present metrics to organizational leadership.
  • Identify requirements and develop reports to meet organizational reporting needs.
  • Document business needs and prioritize product enhancements and requirements to Advarra product support.
  • Participate in data migration-related activities (if in scope).
  • With moderate direction from others, conducts business process analyses, needs assessments, and preliminary cost/benefits analyses. Uses basic understanding of applicable business processes, systems, and industry requirements.
  • Implements functional, system, and program specifications. Assists in revising existing system logic difficulties as necessary, under the direction of more experienced colleagues.
  • Supports the IT development group in building new systems and enhance existing systems. Assists in coding, testing, debugging, and implementing software solutions. Prepares documentation on system enhancements and/or alternatives.
  • Administers new IT developments, keeps up with evolving business requirements, and uses knowledge of University systems to recommend appropriate systems alternatives and/or enhancements to current systems.
  • Performs other related work as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

Education:
Minimum requirements include a college or university degree in related field.

Work Experience:
Minimum requirements include knowledge and skills developed through 2-5 years of work experience in a related job discipline.

Certifications:

Experience:
  • Clinical research experience.
  • Familiarity with online database systems.

Preferred Competencies
  • Detail-oriented professional who can quickly adapt to a variety of situations.
