We are a well-established small business construction company based in Capitol Heights, MD, specializing in general contracting, mechanical, electrical, architectural, and multidiscipline construction and renovation projects, primarily for federal agencies in the Mid-Atlantic region.
Your New Role
As a Construction Controller, you will manage financial operations including AP/AR, job cost accounting, payroll, and cash flow. You will develop and maintain internal accounting controls and financial reporting systems, collaborate with the operations team on budgeting, forecasting, and analysis, and oversee Work-In-Progress, job costing reports, and the General Ledger. Additionally, you will produce monthly financial statements, coordinate quarterly accounting reviews, annual audits, and tax returns, maintain state registrations, business, and tax licenses, ensure compliance with federal, state, and other regulatory requirements, identify and mitigate financial risks, implement internal accounting standards, and prepare financial statements, reports, and analysis.
