RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client in Wauwatosa, WI that is seeking a Controller.Responsibilities:
  • Supervise AR/AP Functions & Assist with Payroll & Administrative Functions
  • Meet with AR Client Relations & Collection team to improve cash flow &/or lower aging
  • Ensure that proper procedures and internal controls are maintained surrounding invoice processing, receipts, payments, and payroll
  • Proactively improve AR/AP functions and address any concerns
  • Controller will lead the effort to implement system enhancements or new data systems as deemed appropriate (e.g. Acumatica accounting system already done)
  • Other items: cross train on AR/AP functions as needed
Ensure that the following functions are performed timely and accurately:
  • All banking functions & relationships are maintained strategically, accurately & efficiently
  • Cash balances are reconciled timely and properly stated
  • Workpapers are accurate and contain proper explanations for unusual items
  • Maintain general ledgers, income statements, balance sheets and statements of cash
  • Monthly financial statements are distributed to management and business line leaders each month within established deadlines
  • Ensure CPA firms tax calculations are accurate & timely and tax implications are reviewed for strategy


REQUIREMENTS:

  • A Bachelor's in Accounting is required
  • Certified Public Accountant designation a plus but not required
  • Three to Five (3-5) years of public accounting experience (audit, tax, or both) a plus; Real estate experience a plus
  • Strong GAAP based accounting
  • Strong computer skills, including fluency in Microsoft Excel (macros) and Microsoft Word
  • Experience with general ledger accounting software required; Experience with Acumatica a plus
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including ability to articulate concerns in a concise and timely manner.


The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.

Note: Pay is not considered compensation until it is earned, vested and determinable. The amount and availability of any compensation remains in Kforce's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified in its discretion consistent with the law.
