Job Description:

In this position, you will provide technical and strategic leadership across multi-functional teams that executes multiple workstreams focusing on modularity and commonality for Load and Haul Products. You will play a key role in the technical leadership of powertrain and battery workstreams for project Convergence with a keen eye on the Quality, Time, and Cost (Investments and Benefits). This role will be expected to work across multiple workstreams at the same time and also collaborate with all 4 Load and Haul product teams. You will be responsible for identifying and finding improvement opportunities that exist across each of the different processes and executing strategies to address them. What you will do:

  • Developing solutions for complex technical engineering problems and may be accountable for the design or improvement of complex systems including advanced concepts that align the product to the product line strategy.
  • Understanding of customers' needs and product application as well as the competitive products and understanding cost drivers.
  • Keeping up-to-date with technology and developing increased technical breadth and/or depth.
  • Designing component strategies and contributing to establishing the product line strategy for multiple product groups. Examples include: defining the program, machine configuration, and modularity strategy; evaluating new products and competitive products; communicating technology to customers, team members, suppliers, and other units; supporting and advising other engineers, managers, marketing personnel, customers, suppliers, and other process partners.
Degree Requirement :
Degree or equivalent experience desired

  • Guides others on the application of manufacturing industry and organizational best engineering practices and explains their rationale.
  • Facilitates the integration of engineering systems and applications for a manufacturing organization.
  • Advises others on the key benefits, drawbacks and rationale for engineering standards, policies and practices.
  • Monitors the effectiveness and efficiency of processes and improves engineering operations performance.
  • Works with various complex engineering operations in a manufacturing environment.
Product Design - MFG: Knowledge of processes, approaches, tools and techniques of product design; ability to convert customer and market requirements into product design.

Level Expert:
  • Promotes the use of advanced methods and tools in product design.
  • Establishes new product development strategies and policies for the organization.
  • Oversees complicated product design projects across multi-functions.
  • Constructs design standards to unify operations in the manufacturing industry.
  • Develops and maintains partnerships with external professional teams to optimize the product design structure.
  • Develops organizational best practices for the management of product design.
Additional Information:

The primary location for this position is Mossville, IL

Domestic relocation assistance is available
