STATUS: Full Time, grant-funded

REPORTS TO: Manager, Corporate and Community Services
PLACEMENT: Professional Staff, Grade S09
MINIMUM PAY RATE: $57,964 annually

POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for developing, maintaining and tracking all training curriculum for the Climate & Equitable Jobs Act (CEJA) grant program. Utilize the Clean Jobs Curriculum Framework to develop and implement bridge program training and job-specific training. Coordinate with JJC faculty and hire/contract instructors to develop and deliver curriculum. Research trends and develop working relationships with local clean energy industry employers to revise and develop new curriculum and training programs based on employer needs. Occasional evening and/or weekend work and local travel required.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Develop and implement a bridge program providing CEJA participants with essential employability skills and clean energy basics.
2. Collaborate with faculty, instructors, partnering colleges, and community-based organizations to develop entry-level job-specific training programs in clean energy careers.
3. Recruit, hire, and supervise instructors. Develop individual training plans for new hires. Address any complaints and take corrective actions.
4. Contract partnering colleges and/or community-based organizations to deliver CEJA training programs.
5. Develop and maintain relationships with local clean energy industry employers to ensure training programs and curriculum is aligned with core job competencies, certifications, and employability skills for clean energy industry occupations.
6. Collaborate with instructors and academic departments to schedule bridge programs and job-specific trainings for the CEJA program. Provide dates, times, room numbers, instructors, fees and class descriptions for the catalog and the college's data entry system. Enter additions, changes and cancellations to the college database.
7. Establish and coordinate work-based learning opportunities for CEJA participants to explore clean energy career pathways, develop employability skills and enhance job-specific skills. Work-based learning may include guest speakers, job shadowing, mentorship, internships, service learning, on-the-job training and apprenticeships.
8. Collaborate with Energy Transition Navigators to actively develop work experience, employment sites, and opportunities among clean energy industry employers, contractor associations, unions and contractors for CEJA participants and job seekers.
9. Coordinate classroom/laboratory scheduling and order/prepare technical equipment and training supplies to meet course requirements. Observe and evaluate instructors.
10. Monitor and forecast training, equipment and supply expenditures to remain within budget.
11. Perform related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Bachelor's degree in education, business, human resources, social work or related field.
2. Three (3) years of applicable work experience in training/curriculum development, job development, internship program administration, or related area. Knowledge of training and development, adult learning, and curriculum design.
3. Knowledge of training and development, adult learning and curriculum design.
4. Strong interpersonal, communication, time, project management and organizational skills.
5. Strong personal computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
6. Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with other members of the college and community, displaying cultural competence as well as emotional intelligence.
7. Demonstrated commitment to the college's core values of respect and inclusion, sustainability, integrity, collaboration, humor and well-being, innovation and quality.
8. Local travel required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
1. Master's degree.
2. Previous work experience in curriculum development, course scheduling or grant programs.
3. English and Spanish verbal and written communication proficiency.
4. Demonstrated multicultural competence.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
1. Normal office physical demands.
2. Ability to travel between campus locations and to and from community events.

WORKING CONDITIONS
1. Duties are performed indoors in the usual office environment.
