BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated CPD&D Laboratory Technician for an opportunity in Indianapolis, IN 46268!
Position Title: CPD&D Laboratory Technician

Expected Duration: 12 months of contract

Pay Range: [$20.00] - [$25.00]

Job Description:Primary Purpose:1. Educational Requirements:- A Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biology, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, or a related field is required.
2. Core Responsibilities:
- Laboratory Work:
- Conduct laboratory experiments and handle laboratory equipment in a site-based environment (100% on-site).
- Perform routine laboratory activities, which may vary based on the specific CPD&D area's focus.
- Assist technical personnel with microbial cultivation, enumeration, and routine tasks supporting scientific research.
- Follow established methods and training protocols within the workgroup.
3. Technical Skills and Experience:
- Laboratory Equipment and Techniques:
- Proficiency with chemical and analytical techniques and equipment setup is required.
- Demonstrated experience with aseptic techniques and microbial cultivation.
- Familiarity with automated liquid handlers is preferred.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Comfortable working safely in a laboratory setting while handling hazardous materials.
- Strict adherence to safety protocols and the use of appropriate PPE.
- Prior Lab Experience:
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a research laboratory environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and experience in data organization and analysis.
4. Safety and Compliance:
- Comply with all Client Environmental, Health, and Safety (EH&S) standards.
- Adhere to laboratory safety protocols, including the proper use of PPE and safety procedures.
5. Soft Skills:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to document and communicate results effectively.
- Excellent organizational skills, including adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills to work effectively within a team setting.
