The Data and Analytics Analyst is responsible for conducting business analysis using Excel, Data Science, Business Intelligence techniques and other tools to provide insights and metrics to the business for decision making purposes. In addition, the Data and Analytics Analyst develops statistical models, leverages and implements out-of-box models, and analyzes, proposes, and generates predictive and descriptive insights to create business and marketing opportunities.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in data integration and collection processes
  • Develop and clean databases from internal and external sources, ensuring data integrity for analysis
  • Deploy enterprise-wide reporting solutions while leveraging data visualization best practices
  • Interpret data and draw insightful conclusions
  • Develop models to assess the relative value of clients and business opportunities to facilitate prioritization in customer retention and development efforts
  • Write reusable SQL, R and Python code and building R Markdown/Jupyter Notebook reports
  • Support the automation of the information of information requirements from multiple business lines
  • Provide data analysis and quality assurance to assist in data governance and other data integrity initiatives
  • Write formal model development documentation according with the MRM guidelines
  • Participate in data governance and data integrity initiatives
  • Collaborate with data management to ensure the information follows compliance, access management and control policies
  • Partner with data stewards to define the data quality expectation in the context of their specific business area
Work Experience Requirements:
  • At least 1 year of experience in developing Statistical Models, Data Mining CRM Analytics, Business Intelligence, Knowledge Management, Data Warehousing
  • 1+ years of experience in complex projects. Experience in the financial industry, service industry or mass market (CPG) preferred
Education and/or Certifications Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Industrial Engineering or similar.
  • DataCamp, EDx, Coursera or similar institution certifications in Open-Source Coding (or able to demonstrate coding ability)
  • CRM Analytics experience highly preferred
  • SAS Accreditation a plus
Technical Requirements:
  • Proven ability to interpret data and draw insightful conclusions
  • Proficient in data visualization tools, i.e. Power BI, Tableau and CRM Analytics
  • Previous experience of relational and dimensional database structures, theories, principles and practices
  • MS Excel expert level
