Description: Our client is currently seeking a Desktop Support Specialist--ON SITE/CANTON, MASS
Key Responsibilities:
•Provide technical support: Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues for desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.
•Install, configure, and maintain desktop hardware, software, and operating systems.
•Respond to helpdesk tickets and provide on-site or remote support to end users in a timely manner. •Set up new equipment: Install and configure new workstations, applications.
•Maintain documentation: Ensure proper documentation of issues, resolutions, and processes in the helpdesk system.
•Support software deployment and upgrades, ensuring minimal disruption to the end user's work. •Collaborate with other IT teams to escalate and resolve more complex issues.
Skills:
•1-2 years of experience in desktop support or a similar role.
•Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems.
•Experience working with Active Directory and basic network troubleshooting.
•Familiarity with remote desktop tools like VNC, TeamViewer , RDP and IT ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira, or similar).
•Understanding of basic networking concepts (IP addressing, DHCP, DNS, etc.).
