Walmart Connect is Walmart's advertising platform for brands, uniquely designed to reach hundreds of millions of U.S. shoppers across their entire shopping journey. We connect billions of shopping behaviors to real transactions (both online and in-store) and help suppliers understand how their marketing drives results.
The Walmart Connect Brand and Enterprise Sales Marketing team is looking for a B2B Content Marketing and Messaging expert to lead our budding Content Marketing and Messaging team.
WHAT WE ARE SEEKING
The idea candidate will have experience working on the sell-side of the media industry, managing a team of content marketers, building, documenting, and presenting content marketing strategy and messaging to executives, managing large and complex content management platforms, developing industry opinion-changing thought leadership content pieces as well as rationalizing our library of foundational content. We are looking for an exceptional leader who can make many advanced WMC Solutions compelling and easy to understand. Someone who will truly make us stand out from the pack.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
This pivotal role will be responsible for bringing WMC's core narrative to life at key moments through original thought leadership and a comprehensive cross-team content strategy. This work includes:
- Develop WMC core narrative and thought leadership narratives aligned with brand's value proposition and messaging pillars
- Develop a content marketing strategy to bring our core narratives to life across all key touchpoints (including speeches, articles, videos, data interactives, white papers, category insights) across owned, industry, owned and retail moments
- Own creating key pieces of content to bring strategy to life
- Partner with adjacent organizations (research, category insights, comms) to help support development of all other external facing and sales content
- Work collaboratively other enterprise marketing teams as well as XFN partners from sales and partnerships teams to ideate how to build highest performing content pieces and activating our content and messaging strategy 360 across all touchpoints
- Revise our content marketing strategy with an eye towards optimizing the number and types of content we publish with an eye towards driving incremental impact with every published pieces
- Guide and empower the team to build high-performing content pieces delivering solid business impact while creating breakthrough in the industry
- Building a learning and innovation agenda, staying the course on tried and true but continually seeking to optimize and innovate
- Manage a team of 5+ (growing with track record) -- leading a healthy and positive team culture and implementing plans to coach, motivate and develop individuals on the team-with clarity on personal goals and growth plans.
- Cultivate key relationships for crucial collaboration-- aligning multiple different internal working team members, WMC leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver on Walmart Connect content marketing and messaging strategy
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field and 4 years' experience in marketing or related field OR 7 years' experience in marketing or related field.
- 1 year's supervisory experience or experience leading cross-functional project
- 5+ years experience in event management (strategic and tactical)
- A dynamic content strategy leader who can bring simplicity to complexity.
- A problem solver to build a strong vision and strategy for our content marketing efforts
- A strategist who is the master of several different content formats from written to video to visual.
- Excellent executional oversight to think ahead and anticipate all moving parts to deliver excellence in our drumbeat of content
- Strong written and oral communication skills to be able to build consensus among leadership and XFN partners
- More than a storyteller - a writer at heart who would hold the pen and write the most compelling headlines if necessary!
- An orchestrator who will cohesively partner with teammates, leaders, and internal partners in research, sales, comms, marketing, and other relevant teams
- Experience in media industry
- Experience leading a team

Hoboken, New Jersey US-10279:The annual salary range for this position is $132,000.00-$264,000.00
San Bruno, California US-08848:The annual salary range for this position is $143,000.00-$286,000.00
Bentonville, Arkansas US-09401:The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00-$220,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
