OUR OPPORTUNITY:

We are seeking a Spring 2025 Electrical Engineering Graduate to join our Engineering Rotation Program in Chelmsford, MA. This unique career opportunity begins with an 18-month rotation program, which will allow you to gain a comprehensive learning and understanding of the Brook's business, products and culture, before beginning your longer-term career journey. The Rotation Program provides an opportunity to work in three 6-month rotations in areas of the engineers choosing, such as different aspects of Design Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Product Management, Supply Chain, Technical Publications, Reliability, PCB Test Development, and new Technology Development. We are seeking that rare combination of hands on "doer" and strategic thinker, who can leverage this high visibility opportunity into increased responsibility and leadership in the future. LEARNING AND DEVELOPMENT AREAS:

  • Microcontroller
    • Operating 3 Phase BLDC Motor
    • Sensors
    • DIO
    • Ethernet Network to Manage or Unmanage Ethernet Switches
    • JTAG for Programming
  • FPGA for DIO and Encoder Processing
  • Various Input and Output Devices
    • Comparators and High-Side Drivers
    • Transceivers
  • Analog Sensor Signal Conditioning
  • SPI Bus Interfacing with Memory or other Peripherals
  • I2C Bus for Unique ID or other Peripherals
  • UART/ USART Serial Bus
  • Can Area Network (CAN) Communications
  • Power Supply Regulators - Leaner & LDO, Step-Down BUCK
  • Electronic Fuses (EFUSE)
  • Selecting Components to meet Requirements (Voltage, Current, etc....)
  • Create Wiring Diagram (Robot System Levels-WX)
  • Create Block Diagram (System Level - BX)
  • Altium Design Suite
    • Create Schematics
      • Block Diagram with Connectors, LEDs and Fusing Called Outs
      • Interconnect Sheets
      • Do Not Populate (DNP) Components Definition
    • PCB Layout:
      • Defined Component Placement
      • Route Single-Ended and Differential Nets.
  • Assist Mechanical Team with PCBA Placement within an Enclosure

WHAT YOU WILL BRING:
  • Ability to learn complex systems quickly and work independently.
  • Basic Spice Modeling and Analysis, or Equivalent
  • Digital Circuit Design
  • Knowledge of C, C++ concepts
  • DC-DC Power Supply circuits
  • Component selection and data sheet interpretation
  • Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Competency in Schematic (CAD) Tools
  • Strong technical communication and presentation skills
  • Knowledge of basic lab equipment
  • Basic Prototyping Board/s and Debugging Circuits in the Lab
  • Standard Windows applications (Excel, word, power point, outlook)
