Your new role
As an Energy Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in their mission to optimize energy usage and create energy-efficient buildings. You will conduct energy audits, analyze energy systems, and develop customized strategies for energy optimization. Your expertise will be crucial in designing retrofit projects, integrating renewable energy sources, and ensuring compliance with energy codes and regulations. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with clients, providing technical guidance and managing projects from start to finish.
What you'll need to succeed
A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or a related field
5+ years of experience in energy engineering, energy management, or related roles
Strong knowledge of building systems, energy efficiency measures, and renewable energy technologies
Proficiency in energy modeling software (e.g., EnergyPlus, eQUEST, or similar)
Familiarity with energy auditing standards and codes/regulations
Experience with building retrofit design and relevant technologies
Excellent data analysis, problem-solving, and communication skills
Familiarity with sustainability frameworks such as LEED or BREEAM is preferred
Professional certifications such as CEM or LEED AP are a plus
