Environmental Services Technicians & Floor/Project Technicians

Environmental Services Technician performs cleaning functions to maintain a sanitary, safe, and orderly condition throughout the facility.

CORE JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. Follows established cleaning methods and procedures in performing cleaning duties.
2. Uses only cleaning supplies and chemicals that have been approved by management.
3. Adheres to guidelines for fire and general safety, waste disposal, dress code, and patient information.
4. Reports areas in need of special cleaning or repairs to appropriate supervisor.
5. Assists in the maintenance of equipment and organization of supplies.
6. Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.

CORE QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School diploma or equivalent
  
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience
  

Floor/Project Technician cleans, disinfects, maintains, and calibrates all equipment utilized within the facility. Additionally, oversees the work of junior staff to ensure compliance with applicable health and waste regulations.

CORE JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. Ensures that all biohazard waste is disposed of in the appropriate manner.
2. Confirms that all applicable storage equipment is filled as per protocol.
3. Guarantees that all necessary supplies are stored and retrieved in a timely manner.
4. Refills toilet paper and other paper products in assigned facilities.
5. Delegates cleaning assignments to junior staff.
6. Reports damage or abuse of property, maintenance concerns, and any fire or safety hazards.
7. Oversees the inventory of equipment and supplies in assigned areas.
8. Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.
