Job Description Summary / TWC Summary:

The Executive Director of Research Development and Infrastructure (EDRDI) will manage the day-to-day operations of the Department of Education Path to R1 at TSU program and work closely with all personnel to prepare reports and deliverables to the PIs (Principal Investigators) and funding agency. The EDRDI will coordinate/schedule team meetings, assist with data tracking and reporting, organize career development, and research enhancement activities, and ensure all day-to-day, short, and long-term project operations are handled on time, within specifications, and within budget. The EDRDI will report directly to the PI/PD and work closely with all personnel including the leadership team and other internal and external stakeholders to ensure the successful coordination and execution of such a project.

This is a Grant Funded position.

Essential Duties Summary:

  • Program management includes managing all phases of the project from inception to completion, ensuring the project is delivered on time within the stipulated scope and budget.
  • Manage major deadlines simultaneously and interface with internal and external stakeholders effectively.
  • Conduct program reviews to ensure metrics are met.
  • Manage budget and meet financial objectives.
  • Prepare status reports, briefings, papers, and other materials necessary to keep stakeholders informed of progress and issues.
  • Performs other related duties as required including hiring personnel and supervising graduate students and supporting the overall vision of the Division of Research and Innovation.

Education:

Master's degree (MBA preferred).

Knowledge:

  • Acts as the ultimate subject matter expert in several professional subject matter areas.

  • Microsoft Office Professional or similar applications

Work Experience:

Four (4) years of grant management or related experience.

Working/Environmental Conditions:

  • Routine office environment.
  • Sitting or standing in one location much of the time.
  • Some stooping, lifting, or carrying objects light weight may be required.
  • Use of video display terminal.
