Where you will work:
This position offers a hybrid work option up to 50% remote and is based out of the Bloomington, IL or Sun Prairie, WI office locations.

The contributions you will make:
The Financial Associate Program is a 12-18 month training program. The full-time benefit eligible Financial Associate works through a syllabus which will prepare them for a position in Credit.

A typical day:
  • Provides accurate financial analysis and loan structuring analysis to Financial Officers on select loan accounts utilizing Salesforce (nCino), Tool for Reasoning Analysis and Credit (TRAC), Credit Desk, or other software to determine credit risk and support the loan decision.
  • Performs verification of assets, liabilities and income using public records, outside vendors and direct contact methods.
  • Provides prompt turn around on credit packaging and servicing requests coming to the department.
  • Spends time contacting the client's or prospective client's farm/agribusiness.
  • Markets credit and related services, establishing new market relationships which will contribute towards attainment of Compeer Financial's goals and business objectives.
  • Assists with the maintenance of a prospect file, establishing ongoing prospecting plans and activities, and developing and making a commitment to individual sales goals for both loans and related services.
  • Accomplishments will include sales closings, servicing insurance policies, appraisals, positive client relations and generally contributing to Compeer Financial's image as the leading financial institution committed to clients.

The skills and experience we prefer you have:
  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Agricultural Economics, Ag Business or equivalent ag or business related degree.
  • Knowledge of farm production methods and products, a general understanding of farm business management and finance.
  • Experience in agribusiness/farming industry, agricultural credit or closely related field preferred.
  • Solid organizational, interpersonal, communication, problem solving, analytical, negotiating and influencing skills.
  • Must demonstrate effective team building and processing skills.
  • The understanding of and ability to use various computer, business/financial applications.

The actual title and base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for variable compensation and other benefits.

$56,430 - $72,105 USD
