Salary: $70,000.00 USD Annually - $85,000.00 USD Annually

Join our client's dynamic team as a Food Safety and Quality Assurance Supervisor! Our client, a fresh animal protein processing company, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to oversee the implementation and maintenance of their food safety and quality management system.

What You Will Be Doing:

• Oversee the implementation of food safety and quality management systems to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
• Liaise with regulatory agencies, maintenance, production, and contracted service providers.
• Mentor and coach plant personnel to promote continuous improvement.
• Conduct corrective action and preventive measure activities.
• Play a significant role in new product development and validation.
• Complete projects with minimal supervision.
• Troubleshoot technical issues related to food safety and quality.
• Oversee pre-operational sanitation inspections.
  
  
• Prepare and analyze reports using Microsoft Office.
• Initiate USDA Sketch approvals.
• Delegate tasks to QA Techs and ensure timely completion.
• Manage QA Tech scheduling.

What You Must Have:

• High school diploma or GED required (Food Science degree preferred)
• Knowledge of retail meat cuts, product specifications, and food safety regulations
• Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience
• USDA experience
• Meat/poultry HACCP and SQF experience (Practitioner certification desired)
• Basic computer literacy
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience in quality assurance and food safety management systems
