ECS is seeking a General Management Consultant/Manager to work in our Washington, DC office. Please Note: This position is contingent upon [contract award].

Job Description:

  • Growth minded leader who interfaces with customers to ensure quality delivery of contractual obligations.
  • Manage delivery teams and provide internal coordination with and utilization of internal program support functions to ensure efficient and effective project administration.
  • Deliver project support for VA client, providing advisory and subject matter expertise (SME) support to help clients meet project goals and missions.
  • Manage profit and loss for teams and communicate findings and recommendations of financial analysis.
  • Provide leadership, training and coaching to program managers and task leads.
  • Actively lead and participate in interviews and onboarding of candidates.
  • Professionally represent ECS at client progress meetings and briefings and support day-to-day client relationships and communications
The successful candidate works well in a team environment; has a high attention to detail; applies critical thinking and creativity to developing work products; has strong written and oral communication skills, and has proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project, and Visio. The candidate must be able to understand project objectives, client environment, and stakeholders and support facilitation of multi-disciplinary project teams, include contributing to the development and management of project plans, meeting agendas, strategic plans, standard operating procedures, senior leader briefings, and standard project management artifacts.

This role requires a combination of project management, problem solving and analytical skills, collaboration and teamwork, flexibility, and client relationship building/management skills.

Salary Range: $80,000-$160,000

Required Skills:
  • 8+ Year's Relevant Leadership Experience
  • Master's Degree.
  • Must be able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.
  • Experience supporting the Department of Veteran's Affairs.
  • Ability to think strategically to effectively assess client and project team situation and assemble solutions to meet client and program team needs.
  • Ability to manage complex project teams.
  • Proficiency in relationship and management, communications, and business development.
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build and manage internal and external relationships at all levels within an organization while possessing diplomacy and cooperative style necessary to work effectively with diverse individuals.
  • Ability to develop a basic subject-matter understanding through materials provided and individual research/collaboration with clients and project team members.
  • Demonstrated writing, editing, proofreading, and formatting of client-ready materials.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Ability to understand personal and team roles, contribute to a positive working environment, and proactively seek guidance, clarification, and feedback from clients and team members.
  • Ability to communicate in an organized, knowledgeable, and articulate manner in written and verbal formats across functional disciplines.

Desired Skills:
  • Federal management consulting experience.
  • Healthcare management consulting experience.
  • PMP Certification.
  • Direct experience with program/project management, program evaluation and implementation, health systems operations, and client/stakeholder management.
  • Strong consulting and interpersonal skills; ability to work in a team environment.
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to work with senior leadership.
