Job Summary / Basic Function:
Job Summary:The Instructor for Government's responsibilities include, but are not limited to, providing instruction for students enrolled in Texas and Federal Government courses (along with other related courses and topics) in the General Education and Developmental Studies Department, including dual credit high school students. This individual is also responsible for maintaining office hours; and teaching extended day classes, and hybrid/online courses, as required, both on campus and at alternate locations. This individual attends workshops, seminars, and conferences to upgrade teaching skills and assists in the development of curriculum, as needed; All LIT faculty are responsible for recruitment and retention as a part of achieving the Institute's Shared Vision of Growth and Excellence.
