SUMMARY
Bering Straits Professional Services, LLC (BSPS), a subsidiary of Bering Straits Native Corporation, is currently seeking a qualified Supply Analyst Sr. for the Defense Health Agency (DHA), National Capitol Region (NCR). This position will support one of the largest DHA networks and other health professionals in optimizing the health and wellness of populations. Through appropriate, effective, and efficient healthcare practices and service delivery this position will provide program management support through the analysis of DHN-NCR Network priorities and programs.
Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

- Possess the ability to identify and understand complex problems and concepts, apply logical thinking and quantitative methods of gathering and analyzing information, make decisions and exercise good judgment based on available data, design solutions to problems, formulate and articulate action plans proactively and collaboratively.
- Support management in the formulation, development and execution of policies and plans to assure programs meet regulatory goals and improve performance objectives.
- Participates in evaluating and reviewing organizations, programs, activities, and functions to assess compliance with laws, regulations, and contract provisions effectiveness of internal controls, and the efficiency, and effectiveness of operating programs.
- Conducts surveys and performs research and statistical analysis on assigned operational challenges/issues.
- Performs research and analysis in the development of program or project activities, including program compliance and eligibility, and regulatory issues.
- Plans and carries out assignments in accordance with accepted policies and applicable precedents, resolving most conflicts that arise.
- Coach others on understanding, analyzing, and interpreting data and information, and use of supply chain tools; coaches and trains others.
- Keeps the MTF chiefs informed of progress and potentially controversial findings or problems with widespread impact in assigned area of expertise.
- Completed work is reviewed from an overall standpoint in terms of effectiveness in meeting requirements and practically of recommendations.
- Documents lessons learned to improve the implementation of any follow-on project phases or future implementations.
- Holds meetings and coordinate with all stakeholders within and outside the NCR for unified agreement of priorities and successful completion of program office goals and responsibilities.
- Attends key policy meetings and conferences, both within and outside the NCR.
- Assists in the creation of strategy to reflect the mid-term and long-term government direction.
- Performs requirements capture, business process reengineering, and workflow analysis and development.
- Develop, writes and updates SOPs as required.
- Communicates progress through Logistics PMO functional areas and identified enterprise channels.
- Develops guidelines to include management indicators/quality metrics, outcomes, requirements specifications, and documentation standards.
- Expert knowledge of the Emergency Care Research Institute (ECRI) tools and applications, research, and standards for improving the safety, quality, and cost- effectiveness of care across all healthcare settings worldwide.
- Manages the DHN-NCR execution and performance of DHA MEDLOG Quality Program. Primary focus involves DoD MMQC messages DHA MEDLOG has established the ECRI Hazard Alerts and Recalls (HAR) Notifications to support the service specific logisticians, supply managers, and/or pharmacists in assuring the proper suspension of use, handling, and return of recalled materiel is accomplished.
- Reviews and disseminates MMQC messages to the Network MTFs, ensures registration of all users to track compliance and message closure meets DHA directed metric standards. These messages contain urgent information of system-wide interest, including:
- Suspension of medical materiel
- Extension of storage time periods (potency expiration dates) Disposition instructions Other significant quality control information
- The MMQC program monitors and directs appropriate DoD action with respect to voluntary and involuntary medical product recalls, hazard alerts, and advisory notices to assure that the proper use, handling, and return of recalled product is accomplished to protect patient safety. Quality control data comes from pharmaceutical and/or medical device and equipment manufacturers regarding their products.
FDA recalls are classified as follows:
Class I: A situation in which there is a reasonable probability that the use of, or exposure to, a dangerous product will cause serious adverse health consequences or death.
Class II: A situation in which the use of, or exposure to, a dangerous product may cause adverse health consequences.
Class III: A situation in which the use of, or exposure to, a dangerous product is not likely to cause adverse health consequences.
- Assist with appropriate training manuals to assure continuity of operations across technical support teams (Note: this is limited to on-site training that can be provided by incumbent Government or Contractor staff and does not include specialized training courses provided by manufacturers, software developers, and component providers).
- Facilitate logistics meetings, prepare quality briefings, and respond to RFI s for support.

Required (Minimum Necessary) Qualifications (applies to both this section and KSAO's) - BA in Mathematics or related health field
- 5-8 years' experience in working with medical logistics supply chain conducting unique
operational tasks, preparing technical briefs, facilitating operational meetings, and ensuring
compliance with NCR strategic plans.
- Shall be able to fluently read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Be a U.S Citizen.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics -
- Work requires knowledge of the DHA MEDLOG and NCR MD Log policies and procedures to assist with coordinating MTF compliance analysis.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, information technology and ability or aptitude to learn informatics software to participant and understand training and generate useful recommendations for improvement.
- Must be able to expertly communicate both verbally and in writing.
- High level research, writing, facilitation, problem solving, analytic, and briefing preparation communications/briefing skills, and other duties as assigned.
- System applications knowledge of all medical logistics operating systems, applications, and tools.

WORK ENVIRONMENTWork Environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be borne by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
Job is performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, mouse, and multi-line telephone system. The work described herein is primarily a modern office setting. Occasional travel may be required.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES - No supervisory responsibilities.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS As a condition of employment, you will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and have acceptable background check results. If applicable to the contract, you must also obtain the appropriate clearance levels required and be able to obtain access to military installations.
