Facility: Wellstar MCG Health
Performs a wide variety of complex immunohistochemical and histological procedures on various tissue specimens to assist pathologists in making a correct diagnosis of patients' diseases or conditions. Responsible for prioritizing testing procedures and completing those procedures in an accurate and timely manner. Must maintain proper records of testing performed in accordance with established policies, procedures and regulations. Coordinates activities of students, residents and fellows in training.
Position Requirements: Associates Degree: In Science related field and 4 years or more of experience in clinical or research laboratory setting. Previous experience in microtomy is a plus. HT(ASCP),HTL(ASCP),MT(ASCP),or QIHC (Obtain within 18 months of hire).
