Overview:

The HR Specialist - Talent Acquisition is responsible for the recruitment process life cycle for the Sports Apparel business. This position will establish and maintain solid working relationships with hiring managers and determine hiring needs. Develops, implements, and oversees effective recruiting strategies to attract, screen, recruit, and select high quality candidates. Determines which positions have the highest needs for recruitment, and assigns ownership for the position, ensures the Sports Apparel recruitment team follows set strategies. Interviews candidates and makes recommendations to hiring managers, and owns the entire job offer process. Utilizes all necessary forms of advertising for recruitment to ensure positions have adequate applicant flow. Will also provide secondary HR leadership for all Sports Apparel leaders when needed.

Position works primarily in one office location, with a hybrid schedule option. May be required to visit all Sports Apparel job sites as needed in Lenexa KS, Manhattan KS, Pharr TX, and Winston-Salem NC.

Responsibilities:

  • Manages the recruitment process life cycle, including, but not limited to; obtaining approvals, initial position assessments, job postings, interviews and offers.
  • Reviews applicants for minimum qualifications to allow only qualified candidates to move into the recruiter interview process.
  • Coordinates the internal job offer and transfer process including verifying qualifications, coordinating interviews with the hiring manager and transfer date if applicable.
  • Develops recruitment strategies to achieve desired staffing needs, including applicant sourcing, position requirements, internal and external advertising.
  • Acts as a liaison with area employment agencies to coordinate placements, identifies and coordinates communication to external and internal recruitment sources.
  • Serves as a liaison to community groups, educational institutions, professional organizations, and other non-traditional recruitment sources for the purpose of developing recruitment pool sources.
  • Analyzes data to evaluate or improve methods and techniques for recruiting, selecting, promoting and administration of the recruitment process.
  • Guides managers on techniques to improve hiring efficiencies and reduce turnover when applicable and works with management on position specific recruitment plans.
  • Builds effective relationships with hiring managers, ensures understanding of the position before the recruitment cycle begins.
  • Develops and maintainsinterview materials for HR and management and ensures all participating team members are trained appropriately in the recruitment process as needed.
  • Ensures all records are maintained per company guidelines, including interview notes, offer letters, email correspondence and any other document or record obtained as part of the recruitment and onboarding process.
  • Performs comprehensive HR administrative duties including onboarding, new hire orientations, team member documentation, benefits coordination, policy enforcement, event planning, performance issue resolution, and participation in HR projects to support organizational operations effectively.
  • Ensures new associates receive proper orientation. Works with various supervisors, managers, on monitoring and continually upgrading initial training, as needed.
  • Coordinates the new hire survey process and analyzes data to continuously improve the applicant and new hire experience.
  • Conducts exit interviews with office staff and ensures hourly team members are sent an exit survey, analyzes data, and gathers potential trends to share with management to create action plans.
  • Identifies and leads and/or participatesin team member committees, teams, and planning processes to ensure process improvements are implemented into the daily operations of assigned facilities.
  • Drives a positive, best-in-class company culture and leads by example, ensures team and processes are in full compliance with the Company Code of Conduct.
  • Coordinates human resources activities, assists with HR questions and leadership in the absence of the HR Manager.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree (6+ yrs. of progressive HR experience can be substituted for degree)
  • Must be knowledgeable in most areas of HR administration including any combination of policies and procedures, recruitment, compensation, benefts, labor relations, employee relations, organizational development, and/or talent management.
  • Can integrate creative thinking, problem-solving, strong analytic and exemplary presentations, and negotiation skills in daily activities.
  • Must be committed to creating an optimumwork environment for all team membersadn iscomfortable taking necessary risks to ensure processes remainexceptional.
  • Demonstrates the ability to make complex decisions quickly and collaborates effectively with those involved.
  • Enjoys a fast-paced environment and can effortlessly pivot in other directions when the need arises.
  • Possess excellent computer knowledge and ease of working with computer systems in a professional setting.
  • Experience with SuccessFactors, or HRIS/ATS systems strongly preferred.
  • Understands how to effortlessly navigate Microsoft Office Suite including Word and Excel.
