How will you make an impact?

We are a highly innovative, and multidisciplinary R&D team working to bring FTIR based gas analytical equipment from concept, through design, to market. We are seeking a seasoned Instrumentation Engineer to join our dynamic team. A strong understanding of analytical instrumentation, coupled with a creative approach, and a desire for hands-on experimentation will enable you to directly drive fast paced innovation!

What you will do:

Lead the integration of various novel analytical technologies into our FTIR-based gas analyzer systems. Stay updated with advancements in analytical instrumentation and industry trends to find opportunities for improving our systems. Collaborate closely with multi-functional teams, including Systems Engineers, Mechanical engineers, FTIR scientists, and Applications Engineers, to ensure seamless integration and functionality of the instrumentation subsystems. Develop and implement integration plans, including hardware and software interfaces, to achieve optimal system performance and accuracy. Design and implement control strategies and algorithms to enable efficient and reliable operation of gas analysis systems. Conduct thorough testing and validation of the integrated systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers within the team.

How you will get here

Education/Experience

Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field. 8+ years of experience in instrumentation engineering, preferably in the design and integration of gas analyzers.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

Understanding of various gas analyzer technologies, such as FTIR, GC, Mass Spec, UV Fluorescence, and Cavity Ring Down. Experience with controls and PLC programming for integrated instrumentation. Demonstrated understanding of standards and regulations related to gas analysis instrumentation. Desire for experimentation and hands-on testing in collaboration with Application Engineers and Scientists. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate within multi-functional teams. Proven track record to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and meet project goals.

    Compensation and Benefits
    The salary range estimated for this position based in Connecticut is $118,600.00-$140,000.00.
