The Prologis Summer Internship Program offers students of diverse educational backgrounds the opportunity to secure work experience within their field of study. Over a course of 10-12 weeks, our interns will get to collaborate on various significant projects that impact Prologis' business landscape. Students will have the opportunity to interact and connect with leaders within the company and build workplace acumen through various seminars and Q&A sessions. Regardless of their assigned departments, interns will have access to local market tours in order to fully comprehend Prologis' business and how their summer contributions impact the end product.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Lead Utility Data Acquisition Research: Conduct research to identify and develop efficient, automated methods for collecting utility data for properties across the US and Canada, ensuring data reliability and consistency.
  • Collaborate with Utility Providers and Vendors: Work closely with utility providers, third-party platforms like Energy Star Portfolio Manager (ESPM), and data service vendors to secure accurate and consistent utility data.
  • Support Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Engage with internal teams, including Global Operations, Leasing, Asset Management, and Sustainability, to understand utility setup processes and capture utility data effectively.
  • Assist with Energy Star Certification: Aid in meeting requirements for Energy Star building certifications and support the submission process for other global energy efficiency certifications.
  • Enhance Processes and Explore Technology: Assess and improve utility data acquisition processes to boost accuracy and reduce manual input, while staying updated on emerging technologies for utility data management and energy efficiency.
  • Customer Data Capture and Analysis: Enhance the effectiveness of utility data collection by identifying and documenting key contacts at customer sites who are most likely to provide utility data. Track trends over time and deliver both quantitative and qualitative analyses to support insights and recommendations.
  • Utility Data Collateral Management: Ensure accessible and organized storage of critical utility data collateral. Locate, assess, and securely store Letters of Authorization (LOAs) and Utility Bills (UBs) to facilitate efficient utility data capture and retrieval.

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate (rising junior or senior) or graduate program
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • For technical roles: experience with relevant tools such as Argus, Tableau, R, Java, SQL, PeopleSoft, Salesforce, or similar
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • High attention to detail, professionalism, and integrity
  • Motivated by curiosity with a strong desire to learn and grow
  • Creative mindset and openness to tackling new challenges
  • Collaborative team player with a supportive approach

Undergraduate Hiring Hourly Pay: $25-30/Hour

Graduate Hiring Hourly Pay: $35-40/Hour

Hourly pay to be determined by the candidate's location, education, experience, and skills, as well as internal pay equity and alignment with market data.
