Position Summary:

This position will ensure effective onsite information technology systems. Ensures compliance with BD quality systems, policies, procedures and best practices, and all local, state, federal and BD safety regulations, policies and procedures. Regular, punctual attendance is an essential job function. Ability to read and write and converse in English. Willing and able to uphold BD Values.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Assist server application owners with server management, either cloud or on premise. This includes
    • Monitoring
    • Managing patches and reboots
    • Managing OS upgrades
    • Backups/Restores
  • Manage business printers and their related contracts
  • Manage technology in conference rooms
  • Audit and manage Security User Groups and access to servers
  • Build and manage Sharepoint data repository as well as other office data storage options
  • Assist in managing the current phone system and planning for upgrade
  • Assist managing physical network infrastructure including upkeep of IDF and MDF rooms
  • Work closely with local OSS on computer inventories, replacements
  • Windows and other application licensing management
  • Oversee systems such as: Production displays, Shipper Request, Timeclock support, VVS Canteen, etc
  • Participate in priority incident calls when systems are not running properly.
  • Collaborate with OT staff and Business Partner in support of the site.
  • Other duties as required to support the needs of the business.


Education:
  • High School diploma/GED required
  • Associate's degree in IT related field preferred


Experience:
  • One year experience in the IT field required
  • Previous experience with any of the following technologies: Programming, Data Reporting, Active Directory, Ethernet Networking or Audio Video systems or CyberSecurity Systems or Small Database programming, is preferred.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Understanding of Windows Operating Systems, PC and Server capabilities - Proficient
  • Understanding of typical PC Applications such as MS Office products - Proficient
