These positions start at $18.90/HR with a shift increase for second shift. This facility is scheduled to operate five days a week with potential for overtime and produces raw and fully cooked meat products.

POSITION SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for operating machinery (Blending, Slicing, Grinding, Pressing, Bagger) includes ongoing production flow while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Follow all necessary procedures to meet and follow USDA and Quality Control Regulations.
• Must be willing and able to collect and record data manually or in Tyson data collection systems.
• Must be willing to obtain LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) and PIT (Powered Industrial Truck) certification.
• Thoroughly cleaning off water and debris in all areas of the machine, including small and large belts
• Inspect machines and sensors regularly.
• Swiftly identifying and addressing machinery issues to ensure proper performance.
• Understanding/use the control panel functions.
• Assembling and dismantling equipment.
• Willing and able to stand, sit, bend, walk, stretch, climb, push, pull, kneel, squat, reach, and climb stairs frequently.
• Willing and able to lift, carry, push, and pull 20-70 pounds.
• Willing and able to work in extreme temperatures with damp environments and these areas may have slippery walking surfaces.
• Able to work overtime and weekends.
• Must have basic math and computer skills.
• Must be able to understand labels, read recipes, follow instructions, and communicate effectively.
• Perform any other work as assigned by management.

EXTERNAL REQUIREMENTS:

• 6 months of work history with one employer in the past 24 months.
• Candidates who have previously worked for Tyson will have a minimum rehire waiting period of 365 days and are limited to 3 times of employment.
