MACHINING APPLICATIONS TECHNICIAN - 1ST SHIFT
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Drafts design concepts for Automation; Machining fixture detail design (CAD design Auto-Cad Inventor modeling capabilities drawing).
- Works with others team member to teach them PLC and Ladder Logic.
- Supports Integration of new and re-deployed/equipment.
- Trains team members for machining cell applications and production process, as needed.
- Follows procedures for tool testing changes and sampling for all tool or cell changes via quality process and PNC process.
- Reviews production parts and tooling updates, program changes and new programs. Keeps annual machine backups on Network by Machine ID.
- Programs for CNC Machine's 3Axis/4Axis/5thAxis/Lathes/Fanuc Robot programming/PLC programming/Vision programming.
- Supports Tool Designer with application and processing information.
- Works with Maintenance as needed. Assists in trouble shooting and repairing machinery as needed.
- Troubleshoots, repairs, or replaces mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical components.
- Troubleshoots custom-built machinery as well as CNCs; makes adjustments and repairs as needed.
- Monitors data and puts into reports to assist with Machine Uptime, and OEE.
- Works weekends and overtime as required.
- Maintains regular and punctual attendance, in accordance with scheduled work hours, and overtime (OT) as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS To perform this job successfully, an individual must have the following education, knowledge, skills and abilities:
Education: Associate's degree or higher from two-year College or technical school.
Certifications/License: Blueprint reading, Part Prints, Electrical Schematics, Hydraulic and Pneumatic Drawings, GD&T for automotive manufacturing. Ability to acquire Gibbs' Powered Industrial Lift Certification.
Experience: Six months or more related experience and/or training, including basic machine shop, basic electrical, AC/DC, Machine Wiring and PLC programming.
Computer Skills: Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Auto Cad 2-D design and solid modeling, CNC controls and Machine functions.
Authorization to work in the United States is a precondition of employment.
