Purpose of Job:

This position will require an experienced S&OP leader able to facilitate and drive results in a fast paced and demanding growth environment, leveraging his/her strong interpersonal and leadership skills. This role will be challenged to build and implement a world class Demand Planning process across the enterprise to improve customer satisfaction, profitability, inventory turns and working capital.

Job Components:

  • Lead a team of Demand Planners and Key Account S&OP Analysts to produce accurate forecasts at a SKU/Location level.
  • Drive Excellence in Customer Experience with Key Account S&OP Analysts through root causing activity, proactive inventory positioning, forward looking forecasting, and standard reporting.
  • Leverage SAP IBP to drive the monthly Demand Planning process; including history cleansing, statistical forecasting, enriching by way of market intelligence, and driving to a rolling 24 month consensus demand plan.
  • Execute all facets of the S&OP process to provide an optimal customer service level and working capital performance as defined by the organization's business operating plans and strategic objectives.
  • Partner with the commercial team to ensure the demand consensus process delivers an agreed upon, workable volume forecast (mid and long term); ensure gaps and overlaps are addressed, scenarios are completed, and issues appropriately escalated to meet business objectives.
  • Integrate NPI, EOL, Sell-through, Promotions, Weather, and VIO to create a demand forecast.
  • Collaborate with Commercial, Supply and Operations, and Partner Results to ensure that the appropriate data is available and accurate to be reviewed at the S&OP process meetings and establish company's supply plan.
  • Prepare content and lead the monthly Demand Review, prepare all data and metrics for review, identify gaps and scenarios that must be presented, guide final decision making on open items and trade-offs, and prepare escalations for executive review where appropriate.
  • Assist in quantifying and defining scope for capacity, resource, logistics, and supply chain planning.
  • Maintain forecasts and manage links between systems for forecasting, master production scheduling, inventory management and product development utilizing various systems.
  • Lead corporate initiatives aimed at improving current business processes.
  • Participate in special projects as assigned by Manager based on company priorities.
  • Participate in Sales and Operations Execution by escalating issues and service challenges for Key Accounts
  • Facilitate the development of Annual Operating Plan (AOP) for the business.

Qualifications:
  • BA/BS degree in a business, logistics, technical discipline or equivalent - MBA preferred
  • Minimum 6 years of supply chain management experience in manufacturing, consumer products, or related field
  • 4+ years SAP experience (SD/PP/MM) or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • 2+ years of experience with leading teams.
  • Proven results with building strong customer relationships and delivering customer-centric solutions.
  • Ability to gain the confidence and trust of others through honesty, integrity, and authenticity.
  • Ability to recognize the value that different perspectives and cultures bring to the organization
  • Can plan and prioritize work to meet commitments aligned with organizational goals
  • Can use a combination of feedback and reflection to gain productive insights into personal strengths and weaknesses and actively seeks ways to further develop
  • Background and understanding of supply chain management principles such as (but not limited to) Production Planning, Purchasing, Forecasting, and Logistics
  • Strong analytical, organizational, decision making, written and verbal communication and presentation skills to working level as well as executive levels
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective relationship management with internal & external business partners/customers
  • Computer skills/ability to work with various software packages. Working knowledge of demand planning tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, etc.) required; high competency in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of consumer goods production, operations and industry practices
