Delta Star provides power solutions for utilities across North America. This includes the manufacturing of medium-power transformers, mobile transformers, mobile electrical substations, trailers, and unitized substations. We offer power transformers for utility applications including power and distribution, transmission voltages, system ties, and automatic voltage regulations, as well as industrial applications. Delta Star also provides comprehensive engineering, testing, maintenance services, and parts for any transformer manufacturer through our Field Services business unit, ensuring our customer's transformers and mobiles maintain peak performance. Delta Star has an opening for Material Handler GP

Candidate must be able to load, unload, and move materials within or near the manufacturing area, performing any combination of the following duties:

Job Duties

• Read work orders or follow oral instructions to determine materials or containers to be moved.
• Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, and shelves by hand.
• Conveys material to or from storage or work sites to designated area, using hand truck, dolly, or other device.
• Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks or dollies to move stock or reorganize storage.
• Cut cable to drawing specifications and fill out cut sheets.
• Kit hardware based on job specific release packages.

Minimum Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED or it's equivalent with at least 6 months of experience in the filed or in a related area.
• Ability to read and write and comprehend simple instructions.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure.
• Must be able to operate forklift or other material handling equipment.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.

• Able to regularly lift and move up to 70 pounds with assistance.
• Able to climb ladders.
• Use fall protection equipment.
