Your Role:

The Material Handler at MilliporeSigma is mainly responsible for operations related to final packaging or boxing of products to the established quality standards to meet customer demand and expectations. Additionally, optimizing operations to realize maximum efficiency and productivity.

  • Works independently and in coordination with the Production Team, Lead or Supervisor.
  • Interfaces and works with safety, quality, engineering, and senior manufacturing personnel in identifying and implementing process improvements and process validations.
  • Responsible for manufacturing products on schedule, within quality standards and cost objectives to meet customer demand.
  • Ensure day to day duties are being performed. Additionally, optimizing operations to realize maximum efficiency and productivity.
  • Ensures proper line opening and line closing for one or more complete operations.
  • Communicate to the manufacturing team any issues or opportunities that may affect product quality.
  • Must be regular and punctual in attendance and adhere to all MilliporeSigma employee handbook policies.
  • Maintains a safe, clean, and organized work area and ensures that others are doing the same.
  • Responsible for learning the safety hazards of processes, equipment and materials and applying that knowledge during routine operations.
  • Performs a wide variety of skilled duties in the preparation and operation of process equipment.
  • Accurately uses computerized operating systems to run and monitor manufacturing equipment, if required.
  • Know and follow all Company safety rules, such as safe work practices, personal protective equipment, and standard operating procedures.
  • May have to lift 25+ lbs. while using company supplied safety equipment.
  • Prints pick lists/ pick work orders. Helps issue material to work orders when needed.

This is an E Shift position: Friday-Sunday 6:00PM-6:30AM.

Who You Are:

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or GED

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Capable of doing basic math and counting to large numbers
  • Understands and follows all written documents including standard operating procedures (SOP's), forms, Test Methods, and Test Specifications
  • Adheres to company Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) procedures
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a complex and fast paced environment
  • High intellectual horsepower with proven problem-solving ability and troubleshooting skills
  • Good decision maker
