Location: Toms River, NJ
Description:

Medical Assistant - Toms River, NJ (Temp to Perm)

Responsibilities:

- Accurately document clinical information to facilitate patient care.

- Perform vital sign checks and EKGs.

- Organize patient care area based on patient needs and department priorities.

- Assist physicians with procedures and studies.

- Schedule ancillary tests for patients as requested by physicians and provide ancillary services information.

- Maintain open communication with providers regarding patient care matters.

- Demonstrate health care informatics competency for managing patient care and outcome data.

Qualifications:

- Minimum one year of experience in a health care environment.

- Knowledge of health insurance carriers preferred.

- High School Diploma or equivalent.

- Valid Medical Assistant Certification accepted by the state of NJ.

- BLS certification.

- Familiarity with EMR-Epic preferred.
