Haven Behavioral Hospital of Albuquerque is seeking an experienced Health Information management clerk to join their team of dedicated professionals. Our ideal candidate would have experience with coding, have outstanding organization skills and understands the importance of customer service. Certification is preferred but not required.

Position Summary:

• Code and classify date sets
• Collect and assemble records/data into the prescribed format.
• Analyze data to ensure records meet regulatory and hospital standards.
• Uphold levels of security and confidentiality to execute appropriate release of information.

Education:

• High School Diploma. AA preferred.

Certifications:

Coding Certificate and AHIMA OR AAPC Required. CCS, CCA, CPC, RHIT, RHIA preferred or test eligible preferred.

Experience:

Inpatient record experience in an acute care hospital setting. Acute inpatient psychiatric setting preferred. Understanding of HIPAA.
