Basic Job Functions:

Weseek a highly skilled and motivated MES Development Team Lead to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) solutions. This role requires a strong understanding of MES technologies, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

The NBT Irving, TX office is the preferred location for this position. Placement at another Nucor location will be considered on an as needed basis.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead the MES development team in designing, developing, and implementing MES solutions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and define project scope.
• Ensure the MES solutions meet business needs and comply with industry standards.
• Oversee the development and maintenance of MES applications, including troubleshooting and resolving issues.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful project delivery.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest MES technologies and industry trends.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• 5+ years of proven experience in MES development and implementation

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proven experience in MES development and implementation.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Development experience in one of many industry-leading solutions like PSI, Q3MET, QMOS.
• Experience with interfacing MES systems with ERP (Oracle EBS) and process control systems (L2)
• Experience managing the full lifecycle of MES projects, from design and development through to implementation, testing, and go-live support.
• Knowledge of Industry 4.0: Understanding of emerging technologies in smart manufacturing, such as IoT, machine learning, or AI integrations within the MES framework.
• Agile Methodologies: Experience with agile or iterative development processes to manage MES development in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
