Where will you work: Onsite at 76 Rawhide Rd., Loving, NM 88256

Schedule: Rotating 8-hour shifts of: 4:30am-12:30pm, 12:30pm-8:30pm, 8:30pm-4:30am.

MINE DISPATCH

To perform Dispatch duties, communicating between mine, shaft, and mill teams.

What you'll do:

  • This employee will be the main communication contact for mine production and safety (dispatch duties).
  • Capture, validate, and record mine site data, shift, and production reports.
  • Document all equipment underground.
  • Inspect roadways and conditions underground on a daily basis which also include cleanup and shoveling duties.
  • Mine Dispatchers work with a variety of computer software to schedule and dispatch workers and crews.
  • Must receive, prepare, and input service requests and work orders, messages, and information to and from work crews, supervisors, and leads.
  • Candidate must make safe decisions during operation by organizing crews, equipment, and service vehicles according to requests, specifications or needs.
  • This position is also responsible for emergency communication if a situation arises.

What you'll need:
  • Must have mining experience (underground mining experience is highly preferred).
  • Experience on mine dispatch systems and applications is highly preferred.
  • Computer software experience - Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook), and Application Software. SAP experience desired.
  • Must be able to acquire Federal Certification (ATF) to handle explosives which requires certain qualifications including a clear criminal record. They will be required to be registered as Explosives Handlers and be trained to use them appropriately.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks involving lifting to 25 lbs., stay focused and work well under pressure, and strong multi-tasking and time management skills are required.
  • Must be able to use the necessary equipment and tools to perform the job duties (i.e., Computer, Skip loading, Stacker controls, Explosives, Power hand tools, Ramcar & Scoop, Loader, Mantrip, Shovel, Fans, Elevators, Telephone, Calculator, Scaling Bar, Air Hammer, etc.).
  • The candidate must possess the ability to learn safe and efficient operation of underground mining processes.
  • Must be a self-starter and work with minimum supervision, and demonstrate a willingness to accept responsibility through initiative, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Candidate must be organized with exceptional communication skills.
