Performs all front desk duties as needed. Runs computer programs that close out each day's work and prepare the hotel for a smooth transition into the new day's business.Job DescriptionEssential Functions:
Performs all desk clerk and related operations during the 3rd shift.
Posts charges to accounts and maintains cash receipts and bank statements.
Sends and receives faxes, and makes copies.
Communicates with all departments to ensure maximum satisfaction for guest service.
Updates systems with billing and housekeeping information.
Secures room and departmental keys; Performs nightly audit of all property keys.
Performs the final audit of each day's work.
Posts bar bills, prints, compiles, and distributes daily reports.
Records all revenue transactions that have occurred since the last audit.
Oversees the details of all current group billing.
Directs guests on safety procedures for emergencies.
Works closely with security to ensure guest satisfaction throughout the early morning.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Education, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
High school graduate plus two years related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous audit experience in a hotel setting is preferred.
Ability to interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
Ability to communicate with guests and staff via phone, radio and face-to-face contact.
Ability to communicate effectively in the English language.
Demonstrated knowledge of customer service skills.
Ability to resolve conflict to guest satisfaction.
Knowledge of Graylyn's history and guest room features or ability to learn in a short period.
Demonstrated basic understanding of all operational departments and functions (training available).
Ability to operate Front Office software program (training available).
Proficiency in personal computer skills, troubleshooting computer errors and system problems, and relevant software applications including MS Office, the Internet, and email.
Ability to work independently during the 3rd shift.
Ability to ensure excellent attention to detail throughout all-night audit processes.
Accountabilities:
