Overview:

Our client is looking for a Nurse Practitioner who will be responsible for demonstrating expertise within their scope of practice. Under the direction of their manager(s) and/or Director(s), the NP interacts respectfully with all staff levels, provides direct nursing care during assigned duty hours, and actively participates in department activities. The NP promotes patient independence, adheres to attendance policies, encourages socialization, and advocates for patient quality of life while maintaining compliance with all applicable laws, regulatory standards, and organizational guidelines. A strong background in allergies, asthma, and immunology would be ideal.

Location: Collegeville, PA

Hours: Full-Time (40 hours a week)

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage health problems related to allergies, asthma, and immunology.
  • Work independently and collaboratively with physicians and nursing staff.
  • Conduct history and physical exams for new and established patients.
  • Prescribe appropriate medications and order diagnostic/laboratory tests as needed.
  • Develop care plans and implement treatment strategies based on clinical decisions.
  • Provide excellent, efficient, and patient-focused service in a fast-paced practice.
  • Collaborate effectively with ancillary staff and management to uphold the practice's core values.
  • Travel to satellite offices as required.

Preferred Abilities, Knowledge, and Skills:
  • Fluent spoken and written English.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, handbooks, policies, patient care plans, and procedure manuals.
  • Effective verbal and written communication with staff and patients.

Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) with current PA state licensure.
  • Current PA state Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) licensure.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • 1-2 years of primary care experience "We will consider new graduates".
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Active CPR Certification.
  • Satisfactory results on Office of Inspector General, State Medicaid Exclusions, Abuse Registry Checks, Background Screenings, Drug Screen, and Sanction Checks.
  • Ability to travel to satellite offices as needed.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:
  • Frequent use of hands for handling objects, tools, or controls; reaching with hands and arms; and talking or hearing.
  • Regular standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pushing, pulling, bending, and sitting. On average, injection room or clinic staff may be standing or walking 80% of their shift.
  • Occasional lifting and/or moving of up to 30 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Effective communication skills for conversing with others, discerning, conveying, expressing oneself, and exchanging information.
